Studies on the Extended Arrival Manager (E-AMAN)

Aeronautical Mobile Airport Communications System (AeroMACS) is a new aeronautical mobile communication system which was standardized in autumn of 2016. This system is based on the 5GHz-band WiMAX technologies, and realizes faster digital communication around airports. It also connects and manages all systems in the airports, and supports the safety and regularity of flight operation.
ENRI has contributed to the developments of the international standards of this system. So far, we have developed AeroMACS prototype system and conducted field tests at Sendai airport and Haneda airport.
In this research project, we will develop some applications and explore the capabilities of AeroMACS technology. We will demonstrate aircraf t access to SWIM (AAtS) by AeroMACS, which enables to share the aeronautical information efficiently, among aircraft, vehicle, and building etc.
