Study on Advanced Aeronautical Communication Infrastructure
Aircraft operation is mainly supported by voice and data communication between aircraft and air traffic control authorities. Aeronautical communication also requires high connectivity to deliver accurate air traffic control instructions. The next-generation aeronautical communication system to be introduced in the near future will aim to improve connectivity via Internet Protocol network technology and enable aircraft to connect to multiple communication media simultaneously.
This study investigates and evaluates the improvement of communication connectivity techniques in aeronautical communication systems by developing a validation network system comprising multiple communication media. Smoothly introducing such next-generation aeronautical communication systems will help achieve reliable and safe aeronautical communication.

Aircraft in flight receive information from Satellite Communication and ATC. Aircraft use AeroMACS(Aeronautical Mobile Airport Communications System) to send information to ATC. The air traffic control network provides information via VHF and HF communications in different regions.
